Australian-Indonesian Bilateral Relations

 

The Australian Ambassador to the Republic Indonesia, H.E. Paul Grigson visited Mercu Buana University on Wednesday 24th February 2016. He gave a public lecture for faculty members and students of the University with the theme “Australian-Indonesian Bilateral Relations”. In his lecture, the ambassador emphasized that Australia and Indonesia indeed have some similarities. The ambassador explained some of this similarities in the fields of Tourism and Education. He pointed out that the fluctuating nature of the diplomatic relationship between Australia and Indonesia should not be an obstacle for the cooperation between institutions in the field of education. He explained that 17 000 Indonesian students are studying in Australia. 10.000 of them with scholarship.
