Study Project Sites

Kampung Naga

Naga Village (Kampung Naga) is one of the last villages where traditional Indonesian (Sundanese) village culture has remained intact. The once isolated village is located in the regency of Tasikmalaya, only 230 kilometers from the bustling metropolis of Jakarta and is now easily accessible by road transportation. Largely untouched by modern civilization, the people of Naga village follow their centuries old customs which has lured antrolopogists from all over the world to conduct research here. Equally interesting is the architecture the village. Participants of the study project will design plans to preserve this architectural heritage under the guidance of local urban planning authorities and university professors.
